Exploring Collage: Experiment with line, tone, texture and shape
Workshop led by Sarah Holloway BA (Hons) PGCE
10.00am - 4pm, Saturday 22 April 2017, at Much Ado Books, Alfriston
Following the success of her Autumn workshop, Sarah is set to lead another workshop for crafters interested in exploring collage techniques
Participants will enjoy a 10% discount on purchases at Much Ado that day!
Working with a variety of different types of paper and mixed media of your choice, we will be exploring collage making.
You will have access to old books kindly donated by Much Ado Books that can be cut up and used as part of the image; mixing and layering text and imagery with everything from handmade and coloured papers to feathers, buttons, card and even stitch.
There will also be the opportunity to look at collage by contemporary & historical artists for extra inspiration.
We'll review different techniques for applying materials, combining straightforward adhesion alongside the application of Bondaweb (fusible webbing), to assist with layering the materials.
We will experiment and have fun, using our imagination to create unique & expressive collage pieces.
